Why your asset register is your most under-loved system
Modern asset management starts with a clean register. Most UK firms don't have one. Here's how to fix that without a nine-month project.
Asset registers tend to be born in a spreadsheet, raised in a CMMS, and abandoned by the time anyone asks them a hard question. We've made a small specialism out of resurrecting them.
The trick isn't software — it's a six-week structured cleanse, ideally co-led by an engineer who actually walks the asset estate. Software comes after.
Once the register is clean, every downstream system from PPM to insurance valuation gets cheaper and more accurate.
