AI on the tools: practical AI for industrial businesses
We've shipped AI features into eight industrial platforms in the last year. Here's what worked — and what we threw away.
AI is everywhere in vendor pitches and almost nowhere on the actual factory floor. We wanted to change that.
What works: document understanding (RAMS, RFIs, drawings), vision-based safety checks, and forecasting against historical job data. What doesn't: chatbots that try to replace planners, and any 'agent' that touches money.
Our rule of thumb: AI is a great copilot, a poor pilot. Keep humans in command and ship narrow, well-evaluated features.
